A perfect blend of tradition and modernity

Our history

Pasticceria Aliverti di Tiziano Aliverti is an artisan cake and pastry shop founded in 1955 in Arona, a charming town on the shores of Lake Maggiore, the beginning of a sweet story involving passion, tradition, refinement and also a great propensity for innovation and development.

The founder Carlo Aliverti based his business on quality, professionalism and creativity, elements that inspired him and gave him well-deserved success in the field of pastry and cake making right from the beginning.

Carlo Aliverti learnt the art of cake and pastry making at a young age, just after the Second World War, in Gallarate, where he was employed by Pasticceria Bianchi, working with coal-fired ovens

He then married Carla Rossi, and together they decided to open their own business in Arona, initially with a small cake and pastry workshop in Piazza Gorizia and then opening their first retail outlet in Vicolo del Mulino.

During this period Carlo was awarded the title of “Cavaliere del Lavoro” [order of merit for labour], which he went to Rome to receive.

In the '70s his son Tiziano began to work alongside him, learning the secrets and techniques which he then later improved and refined thanks to the solid grounding received from his father Carlo.

Another important award was the QUALITY AND COURTESY prize received in 1972.

In search of the ideal location, the business moved again twice: in the '80s to Corso della Liberazione, a street in the centre of Arona and in 2000, when Aliverti at last found what he had been looking for for years, splendid premises with high-class finish in Corso Cavour, the main shopping street in Arona.

Pasticceria Aliverti has always focused on quality, creativity and beauty, the master pastry chef Tiziano creates high quality artisan products, following traditional recipes handed down through the generations, selecting the best ingredients available on the Italian market.
